Is there really a Masturbation Diet?  If you do a web search using the search term “ Masturbation Diet” you will find a ton of links with references to a Japanese scientist Dr. Shukan Tokuho who had developed the so called “Masturbation Diet”.  Supposedly Dr. Shukan Tokuho had published a paper / study on his Masturbation Diet claiming that 5 minutes of vigorous masturbation can consume 300 calories, which is the equivalent of 20 minutes on a tread mill.  He also claims that masturbation can be so refreshing that it can curb your appetite thus cutting even more calories from your diet. There has been a lot of comments made on the web referring to people try the masturbation diet as "Weight Wackers".

You will also find links to a ton comments from a Dr. Hideo Yamanaka who climes that Ejaculation raises the basic metabolism of muscles and helps you consumes more calories.

I have not been able to find on line the actual published paper of Dr. Shukan Tokuho in reference to his masturbation diet.  In fact there are many post stating that the whole masturbation diet is an urban legends.

But you will find posted on many reputable health and fitness sites that the act of masturbating does burn calories as does other forms of sexual activity.   The reputable health and diet site "Fatsecret.com" list the calories burn for all types of sexual activities such as kissing, oral sex , intercourse and yes Masturbation.  Here is what they say:

The more you search the web for info on calories burned during sex you will find that the numbers are all over the place.
